Dr. Ay received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering (Electrophysics) from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, CA, in 1997 and 2004. He joined the ECE department of the University of Idaho in 2007 as Assistant Professor, and was promoted to tenured Associate Professor in 2013. He joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering department of WPI in early 2024.

Ibrahim Bozyel

Ibrahim graduated with his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Hacettepe University and is a PhD Candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at WPI. He has worked on a variety of issues, including analog IC designs in 180nm TSMC PDK (several tape-outs), digital design, the design of micro and nanosystems, flexible sensor designs, embedded software development and PCB level hardware design. Ibrahim is also a teaching assistant and mentor for many of the microelectronics courses and head of the Solid State Circuit Society.

Frankie graduated with his M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from WPI in 2026, and has worked at GlobTek Inc. designing medical-grade power supplies since 2025. After his thesis was completed, he has volunteered his time to chip testing and characterization for the CHIPS Design Studio.
